Buti na lang I got a Money Tree investment plan five years ago. I was able to spend it on my fairytale dream wedding!

Five years ago my boss, Ms. Minna, told us to purchase a Money Tree investment plan for us to appreciate the product and to better understand our VUL clients. Together with my best pal in Underwriting, we purchased a Money Tree thru the GIO Employee Offer.

Years passed and I just let my minimum investment lose and gain overtime.

Until last year...

A week before my wedding day, we got short on budget. We have exhausted all our savings and no longer have enough time to file for a loan for the deficit. It was such a stressful experience!

Buti na lang, I remembered that I still got one lucky card! I went to the office the next morning to check my Money Tree plan. At buti na lang din, after the AIG crisis and the US banks' breakdown, my investment gained more than enough to save my dream wedding!

But there's a catch, I still had to wait for the 2-3 days Buy & Sell period before I could get the check. It was heartbreaking, not to mention a nerve-racking experience. It was Friday, and my wedding's on Tuesday thus, there was no chance for me to pick it up.

Another buti na lang, the UN staff were very kind to offer their (extended) assistance. They just deposited the check to my BPI account so I could withdraw it on my wedding day (without the hassle).

Hay! It was such a big relief! I never thought that this small investment that I have years ago could save the very important day of my life. It was truly a "Buti na lang" experience.

Now, I'm more willing and enthusiastic to get another plan for me and my baby so I could have more "Buti na lang" stories to share.

Insurance can save you in the most unexpected and 'last-minute' moments of your life.
Buti na lang talaga. :)
